Blake Jackson

Garrett “Blake” Jackson is the Policy Officer and a Staff Attorney at the Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative at the University of Arkansas possessing nearly four years of combined experience in federal Indian law and analyzing agricultural policy issues.  His previous experience includes serving as an in-house attorney at two Native American tribes in Oklahoma, clerking in private practice, and working legislative policy at the state and federal levels.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness from Oklahoma State University and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.   Currently, he is pursuing his LL.M. in Agricultural and Food Law on at the University of Arkansas on a part-time basis and is licensed to practice in Oklahoma.  Jackson’s academic interests include food safety, nutrition policy, value-added agricultural production, and agricultural risk management.
